Antoine has an extensive litigation and insurance practice that includes coverage issues under Quebec law. He regularly represents a broad clientele from the insurance and self-insured industry, before the Superior Court and Court of Appeal.
Apart from playing an important role for the firm’s clients and being the firm’s Managing Partner, Antoine is an active member of the Canadian and Quebec Bar Associations. He was a member of the Bar of Montreal’s Liaison Committee with the Superior Court for civil matters, a member of the executive committee of the Quebec Section of the Canadian Bar Association’s Insurance Law and Civil Litigation section, and was a member of the Bar of Montreal’s Ethics and Image Committee. He has also served on the Quebec Bar’s Discipline Committee.
He is the former President and presently a member of the executive of ARC Canada, an affiliation of independent Canadian law firms.
Recognized in “Best’s” and “Who’s Who” as a top insurance coverage attorney, his clientele is composed mainly of Canadian insurers, American insurers as well as Lloyd’s Underwriters. His services have also been retained by French, Italian and Chinese carriers. Antoine is often invited to speak on many issues of interest to the insurance industry, including CGL and E&O coverage, as well as general principles related to Quebec Law, such as alternative methods of dispute resolution and the evaluation of bodily injuries and damages.
Antoine studied at McGill University in Political Science and continued his studies at University of Montreal where he obtained his law degree in 1985. He was called to the Quebec Bar in 1986.
During his free time he enjoys golfing, playing hockey, and fishing.
